Founders Jodi Ropert:  Jodi is a technology leader turned eco-entrepreneur, and a fashion-conscious mom of two blossoming girls.  Born on Earth represents a fusion of three of Jodi’s passions:  her children, the environment and fashion.  Excited by the potential for innovation in sustainable fashion, Jodi is passionate about creating a sustainable, accessible, high style alternative to mainstream fashion.  After a decade of driving businesses at Microsoft, Jodi refocused her life towards her children and the environment.  In 2004, she dove into the sustainability arena and joined the Institute for Environmental Entrepreneurship, which founded the GreenMBA, as a Board Director.  In 2007, Jodi was nominated as a Fellow for the Leadership Institute for the Ecology and Economy, whereby she became deeply versed in the sustainability issues facing the communities she resides in. Jodi holds her MBA from UCLA, and sits on the Board of The Windsor Educational Foundation. Julie Elli:  To quote Joseph Campbell, "If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living." Inspired by these words, Julie is dedicated to finding passion and creativity in all endeavors.  The journey of creating Born on Earth, has been a delightful example to Julie of following 'your bliss,' of being right where you ought to be, meeting just the right people you ought to meet, of finding a path to creative and artistic expression, and a quaint surprise around every corner.     A mother of two enchanting children, a self-avowed eco-mama and 'mompreneur' with fashionista tendencies, Julie thrives on artistic and diverse experiences.  Julie’s background spans video production, global travel, non-profit management and travel as an espresso-wielding aficionado.  Julie is excited to channel her creativity and fashion sense to create high-style, totally sustainable eco-chic kids clothing.  Passionate about sustainability in the world at large, Julie is focused daily on creating eco-friendliness and sustainability in her own business and home.
